BBCA works with residents to swap mercury vapor guard lights with dark sky friendly fixtures and celebrate by giving the participant a $50 gift card to the local grocery store. This was our first light swap in Alpine where Hortensia Ramos (left) had her mercury vapor guard light swapped out for a fully shielded fixture. Gloria Skinner (right), a BBCA volunteer, came by to give Hortensia her gift card.
